If you would like to make the most of your first consultation, it may be handy to bring any x-rays from your referring dentist or previous dentist.
As a new patient to the AIDER clinic we will conduct a full Dental Examination. This will help our dental practitioners with the diagnoses of any treatment requirements.
At times after the examination, decay or also known as caries is detected in some patients. We take diagnostic dental x-rays to confirm what the naked eye at times cannot see prior to any treatment commencing.
Dental treatment such as general fillings, conventional crown & bridgework, commonly known as restorations or root canal therapy more formally referred to, as Endodontics may be required.
Also as a last option, in some cases a tooth or teeth may be necessary to remove. However we will provide a temporary tooth/teeth replacement and discuss the best long-term solutions such as dental implants to aid your complete dental rehabilitation.
Cosmetic Dentistry better known as Tooth Whitening or Veneers, in some cases full mouth reconstruction utilising crowns and bridgework may be the long-term solution that you are looking towards.
The AIDER clinic will provide all aspects of general dentistry.
AIDER provides a modern dental radiology area, which allows us to take all common dental extra-oral radiographs such as:
- • Panoramic (OPG)
- • Cephalogram
In addition we provide at AIDER Digital Volume Computer Tomography.
In advanced treatments such as oral surgery or implant dentistry, the use of a CT scan is essential. The scan for the treatment planning for dental implants will allow the implant practitioners to measure all three dimensions of the surgical site.
This digital volume provides CT-scans with outstanding resolution by using less radiation compared to conventional CT-machines.
Our patients at AIDER do not need to be referred to a radiology centre or to a hospital to obtain a CT-scan. Having our own radiology room within the clinic allows the convenience of saving on time & provides a more cost effective outcome for you.
Hygienists are university-trained dental professionals they are taught the necessary skills to take care of your oral health. Regular professional removal of plaque and calculus are essential for maintaining healthy gums.
Fillings do not adhere well to unclean teeth, and will not last in an unclean environment.
Your hygienist will assist you with selecting the right hygiene products that suit your needs and will give you guidance on how to use these products.
